Adil is the Group President - Human Resources at Essar. Adil joined Essar in August 2006.

At Essar, Adil globally heads the Human Resources function for this $50 billion group which employs 40,000 people world wide and has business interests in domains of Steel, Oil, Power, Shipping, Projects, Telecom, BPO and Realty.

Adil has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, a Bachelor's degree in Law and Master's degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He has attended several other Advanced Management Programs from reputed Business Management Schools, internationally.

With 29 years of global experience spanning geographies in India, South West Asia, Middle East and the U.S., Adil joined the Essar Group from Coca-Cola India where for 9 years he handled different assignments, last of which was as Senior Vice President (HR) for India and South-West Asia.

Adil started his career with the Godrej Group where he spent close to 9 years. Thereafter, he worked with GE Appliances for 4 years. Adil moved over from areas of Human Resources Management to Marketing and Business Management when he accepted assignment as the Group General Manager at Al Futtiam Sons for their Middle East operations.

Adil is a trained facilitator and a certified trainer. He has done extensive work in areas of Strategic Leadership and Organisation Development in multi-cultural business environment with large MNCs and Indian organisations.
