Professional Experience

Mr. Sethna is a Vice President and Member of the TCS Technology Board with over 30 years of experience in Software Development, Capacity Planning, Computer System Acquisition, and Software Project Management. In his current role, he is responsible for coordinating and mentoring the various Telecom Research Labs in TCS to build intellectual capital in disruptive Telecom and Digital Surveillance technologies.He has successfully executed large projects like MTNL Billing, Tanzania Telecom Billing, Bombay Stock Exchange Internet Trading System, Dubai Water Billing, etc.His primary focus is on scanning emerging technologies and proliferating those having potential within the organisation. He was instrumental in starting a Visual Computing practice at TCS, and has extensive skills in Content Creation, Virtual Reality applications, Animation and Internet/ Intranet creation, and Post-Production for film and video.

Mr. Sethna also started the Java Excellence Centre with the primary objective to build intellectual capital in Java and Distributed Object Technologies. Mr Sethna has been involved with various societal projects such as Childline a national help line, working in 52 cities in India, for children in distress, Setu project which helped in the rehabilitation of earthquake affected villages in Kutch, computerisation of the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), etc His current interest include Digital Surveillance, IPTV and Convergence of devices,networks and services.

Adil is a trained facilitator and a certified trainer. He has done extensive work in areas of Strategic Leadership and Organisation Development in multi-cultural business environment with large MNCs and Indian organisations.
