| Dr. Prasad Ramanathan is an Associate Vice-President at Patni Computer Systems in the Innovation & Research Labs. Prasad leads a team that is responsible for exploring applications of mobile computing, and developing new solution offerings using mobile computing. Before joining Patni, he worked at Datamatics, GE Energy, Fisher-Rosemount and Honeywell. |

| He has strong interest in topics related to industrial process control & automation, applications of artificial intelligence techniques, and automation of business processes. He loves to teach a variety of subjects in the fields of management, computer science, and chemical engineering. |

| He got his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering with specialization in applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques from the Ohio State University in 1993. His MS degree in Chemical Engineering was awarded for his research on the topic of industrial process control in 1989. He got his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai in 1987. |
